If you wish to extend your stay, and get to know the region a bit more, the two Unesco World heritage Sites, Old Rauma and Sammallahdenmäki, are close to Pori.

For nature enthusiasts, the Lauhanvuori-Hämeenkangas Unesco Global Geopark and Bothnian Sea National Park also in a vicinity. If there is no time to explore the archipelago, the beautiful dunes in Yyteri are only a short bus drive away from Pori. When ever there is a storm, locals drive to welcome it to the rocks of Kallo. Kallo is worth visiting also in a calm summer evening.
