Survey on Carbon Legislation

The BAORULA network is carrying out a survey which is part of our research aimed at developing a comprehensive carbon trade legislation framework for African countries. We hope that You find time to answer the questions. The survey will take approximately 15-30 minutes to answer. Our goal is to create policies that benefit everyone—governments, businesses, and communities alike. The survey seeks to gather valuable insights into current carbon management practices, including investments, emissions, carbon credits, and storage methods The survey has been approved by the Ethical Committee of the University of Namibia. It is technically managed by the University of Turku, Finland, and the same University also controls the data.

Data Protection

Any personal data given in this survey, such as name, position, email address and country of residence, falls under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679) articles 12,13 and 14. Only the Principal Investigator of the project (Annika Saarto, University of Turku, Finland) has access to the Webropol online survey tool. The contact details of a person answering the survey can be disclosed to project team members at University of Namibia (Namibia), Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and Buckinghamshire New University (UK). The filing system is not used for profiling, or for other forms of automated decision making. The data subjects have the right to (i) know what kind of data the filing system contains about themselves, (ii) request their inaccurate personal data to be corrected, (iii) get their personal data erased from the filing system, (iv) restrict the processing of their personal data, (v) transmit data from one system to another. The request should be sent via email to annika.saarto@utu.fi. Furthermore, the data subjects have a right to make a complaint to a supervisory authority of data protection.
