Manu Thomas Joins BISONS Lab

We are pleased to welcome Manu Thomas to the BISONS Lab as part of his Erasmus+ traineeship program!

Manu is a PhD researcher at the Institute of Spatial Management of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, where his doctoral research explores environmental and land-use conflicts through the perspective of Social Practice Theory, with a focus on socio-spatial dynamics and governance processes. From March to June 2026, Manu will undertake a research traineeship in our lab, focusing on digital data analysis of news media. During this period, he will further develop skills in programming languages, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), natural language processing, and computational text analysis techniques. The traineeship follows a hands-on, practice-based approach and will contribute directly to the advancement of his ongoing PhD research.
