UTU Revelcs is a multidisciplinary team combining talent from the University of Turku and Turku University of Applied Sciences. We integrate expertise in automation engineering, mechanical engineering, and robotics and autonomous systems, share a passion for cutting-edge autonomous technologies, and aim to design and develop embedded systems for autonomous driving.

Meet the Team

Aaro Tikkanen – Team Member, a BSc student in Automation Engineering and a member of Student Formula Turku. Aaro contributes in-depth knowledge of electrical systems and a driven passion for the automotive industry.
William Desanges Ngue – Team Member, an MSc student in Robotics & Autonomous Systems with a strong background in Electronics Engineering. Specialising in hardware integration and FPGA-based systems, William provides hands-on expertise in ROS 2, C/C++, and circuit design.
Xiaoxia Liu – Team Member, an MSc student in Robotics & Autonomous Systems with expertise in ROS 2, Gazebo simulation, computer vision, and machine learning perception models for the vehicle’s intelligence.
Mika Hyvärinen – Team Leader, a BSc student in Mechanical Engineering with core competence in embedded systems, C++, and rapid prototyping. Mika acts as the bridge between disciplines, ensuring seamless integration between hardware and software.
Anam Tahir – Team Mentor, Doctor of Science (Technology), University Teacher, Dept. of Mechanical and Materials Engineering.
