May 28, 2025, 10–16
Arc A112 ARCANUM, Vatselankatu 2, University of Turku

Founded in 2023, the Critical Sexuality Studies Network (CRISSE) at the Department of History, Culture, and Arts Studies focuses on humanities-based sexuality research, particularly within cultural studies, history, arts research, and media studies. The network aims to bring together diverse sexuality research conducted within the department, promote networking, and plan future research and teaching collaborations.

The CRISSE Spring Seminar will take place on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 10 to 16, focusing on ethical questions in sexuality research. The seminar is open to all interested participants, both from the HKT department and beyond.

We also invite short presentations (max. 10 minutes) on participants’ research. We encourage speakers to address ethical issues they have encountered in their research projects. If you wish to present your work, please send your presentation title, your preferred language (Finnish or English), your name, and your affiliation to contact-crisse@utu.fi by April 30, 2025.

The seminar will provide space for discussion and collaborative planning. Welcome!
