Leo Lahti is a professor in Data Science in Computational Humanities at the University of Turku, Finland. His research team focuses on computational analysis of complex natural and social systems. Lahti obtained his doctoral degree on applied probabilistic machine learning at Aalto University, Finland in 2010. Prof. Lahti is the vice chair of national coordination on open science. Julia Matveeva

Julia Matveeva holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political History with a specialization in the History of Finland and Scandinavian countries from Petrozavodsk State University (2013). She also has a Master’s degree in an interdisciplinary program in Baltic Sea Region Studies from the University of Turku (2016). Currently, Julia is pursuing a second Master’s degree in Statistics while working as a research assistant at Turku Datascience Group, University of Turku, where she actively contributes to computational humanities projects.
