This is also important for NRLs as they provide technical advice to other microbiology laboratories performing pertussis and diphtheria diagnosis in their countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Multiplexing respiratory panels are now widely used for diagnosis of pertussis, and macrolide resistant <em>Bordetella pertussis<\/em> is emerging in Europe. We are happy to inform you that the first scientific webinar will be organised on 10<sup>th<\/sup> of December, 2025. The webinar will be organised through Zoom\/Teams platform, and is hosted by University of Turku. There is no limit of attendance for each country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Topics of the webinar<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After agreement with ECDC coordinators the following talks were selected to be presented:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Nucleic acid-based detection of <em>Bordetella<\/em> <em>pertussis<\/em> from clinical samples: \u00a0insights for single- vs multi-plex PCR<\/strong>.
