The BDPro – Your Journey to Innovation and Growth!

What business opportunities exist in the Baltic Sea region? How to tap into those? What specific cultural characteristics prevail when doing business in Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Finland or Sweden? How to understand multicultural organisations and operations? How to manage innovations? These are just few of the many questions that will be discussed in the new international management development programme, the “BDPro – Your Journey to innovation and Growth” which will start in September 2014.

Participation in the BDPro will be a true investment for the future of your company in a time when a growing, developing business cannot afford to stay out. As Kim Gran, the CEO of Nokian Renkaat advised Finnish companies doing business in Russia (in Talouselämä 9.5.2014) “do not run away from Russia now, instead attract also the customers of those companies that leave the country”. According to him, despite of the crisis, business and life continue as normal.

One of the vital elements in the BDPro according to Doctor Peter Zettinig, one of the key speakers at the programme, is the interactive learning environment created by a multicultural group of participants and lecturers. During the programme the participants will learn how to work with people from different cultures, industries and backgrounds. The benefits derived from the programme will not only boost the self-development of the participant but also benefit the whole company. One of the focal assignments in the course will concentrate on creating value-added to the company itself by its participating employee in collaboration with other group members. “Each module will give you new ideas, new knowledge to play with and use for your company’s benefit and self-development”, says Doctor Peter Zettinig from the Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku.

The BDPro will be a useful, a modern and a fun way to develop your business in the Baltic Sea Region. For more information go to www.utu.fi/bdpro or contact the Programme Manager Tiina Ruohisto, tiina.ruohisto@utu.fi ,+358 40 900 0753. Application deadline August 15th, 2014!
