Welcome to FINDOS Symposium 2019 – Craniomaxillofacial Reconstruction
We cordially invite you to attend the FINDOS symposium to be held in Turku between May 9th and 10th 2019.
Location: University of Turku, Institute of Dentistry, Arje Scheinin Hall (Lemminkäisenkatu 2)
The theme of the 2019 symposium is “Craniomaxillofacial Reconstruction”. Reconstructive surgery may be required due to various congenital and acquired deformities or defects of the face and skull. Treatment aims to restore appearance as well as function, and involves the manipulation of bone, muscle, skin, nerves, blood vessels, other soft tissues, and teeth. However, reconstruction of severe deformities presents many challenges due to the complexity of the structures in the craniofacial area. This symposium provides lectures from distinguished clinicians and researchers about different indications and methods for craniomaxillofacial reconstructive surgery in children and adults, including applications of 3D printing and tissue engineering.
Welcome to listen to esteemed international and local speakers. We look forward to seeing you in Turku!
