Max Heiland
Max Heiland is an oral- and maxillofacial surgeon, whose present appointment is professor and head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany. Heiland also has a subspecialty in plastic surgery.
Heiland´s main clinical focuses are head and neck reconstructive surgery, craniomaxillofacial trauma and facial deformities. The main research topics are virtual planning of surgeries including patient-specific implants, biomaterials and clinical outcome of surgical treatment of head and neck tumours.
Patrik Lassus
Patrik Lassus is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon from Helsinki. His present appointment is the head of the Division of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, Helsinki University Hospital, Finland.
His main clinical focus since 2008 has been in facial and head&neck reconstructive surgery and esthetic facial surgery. He is the leader of the Finnish facial allotransplant program and he performed the first face transplantation in Finland in 2016 and the second in 2018. Lassus became docent in 2007 and his research focuses on reconstructive facial and head and neck surgery. The other arm in his research is focused on facial allotransplantation. He has published 43 peer reviewed articles, supervised 4 doctoral thesis and written chapters in 2 surgical books.
Johanna Snäll
Johanna Snäll is an oral- and maxillofacial surgeon from Helsinki. Her present appointment is the Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Diseases, Helsinki University Hospital, Finland.
Snäll became docent in 2018 and her main clinical and research focuses are on craniomaxillofacial trauma, facial reconstructions and emergency maxillofacial surgery. Snäll has published 28 peer reviewed articles and written chapters in three books.
Patricia Stoor
Patricia Stoor is an oral- and maxillofacial surgeon working at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Diseases at Helsinki University Hospital, Finland.
Stoor became docent in 2017 and acts as associate professor at the Universities of Helsinki and Turku. She also acts as Finnish councilor at EACMFS. Her main focuses in surgery are facial deformities and implantology. Her main research fields include biomaterials and 3-D virtual planning in surgery. Stoor has published 24 peer reviewed scientific articles and written 5 book chapters.
