Micro-credentials is a way to certify the learning outcomes of short-term learning experiences, for example, a short course or training.

FOOD WASTE: UNDERSTANDING, PREVENTING, AND ACTING FOR A
SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
This microcredential explores the causes and impacts of food waste, introduces circular economy solutions, and empowers learners to take individual and collective action. Drawing on European case studies and the GREASE project findings, learners will gain practical knowledge and tools to reduce food waste in personal, professional, and community contexts.

CIRCULAR ECONOMY IN FOOD WASTE MANAGEMENT
The “Circular Economy in Food Waste Management” micro-credential demonstrates that learners have a strong grasp of the principles of both the linear and circular economies. This enables them to articulate the key differences in resource utilisation, waste minimisation and sustainable practices. Learners gain in-depth knowledge of circular economy certification schemes such
understanding their purpose, how they are implemented, and their role in promoting sustainable business models.

SUSTAINABLE COOKING
This unit introduces learners to sustainable cooking practices, emphasizing the use of seasonal and local ingredients, waste prevention, and efficient cooking techniques. Learners explore how culinary choices contribute to environmental sustainability and gain hands-on strategies to cook with awareness of resources and food systems

FOOD RESEARCH AND INDUSTRY
The “ Food Research and Industry” micro- credential reveals obtaining scientific knowledge, developing practical skills like research and analysis, gaining an understanding of the food supply chain and its ethical implications, and becoming proficient in communication and teamwork.
