New pre-print

We are pleased to share our latest preprint, “Microbial lipid shifts in a multi-stage simulated gut,” now available on bioRxiv. In this study, we used a multi-compartment gut model to investigate how microbial lipids change along different stages of the intestinal environment. Our results reveal dynamic shifts in non-polar microbial lipids, including N-acyl lipids, highlighting how microbial metabolic output varies across gut regions. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of microbiome-derived bioactive molecules and their potential roles in host–microbe interactions.
