What is HI-GEE?
Enhancing the contribution of high-skilled immigrants to business growth as employees and entrepreneurs (HI-GEE) is a three-year research project conducted at the University of Turku. Funded by the Foundation for Economic Education,
HI-GEE examines how highly educated immigrants contribute to business growth and internationalization in Finland.
We investigate both the recruitment and employment practices of Finnish companies as well as the challenges and opportunities immigrant entrepreneurs face in scaling their businesses. By providing new insights, the project aims to enhance the entrepreneurial ecosystem and support evidence-based policies for better integration of immigrant talent in Finland.
