Human Diversity seminar 27.3.2024, Peltola and Pimenoff
Next Human Diversity seminar introduces MSc Sanni Peltola from the Organismal and Evolutionary Biology Research Programme, University of Helsinki. She introduces ancient genes of North-Eastern Europe. We will also introduce PhD Ville Pimenoff from the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden. Ville will talk about modern and ancient exposure and evolution of pathogens affecting human health.

Human Diversity seminars showcase interdisciplinary research associated to the consortium. Seminar series is aimed to be added as part of the visiting seminars and other teaching at the departments. Seminars contain either one visiting talk (45+15 minutes) or two talks where at the start of the seminar a consortium member tells about the Human Diversity research related to the topic (20+10 minutes) followed by a visitor talk (45+15 minutes). Students can collect credits for HUDI001 by participating the seminars. Details are found in Peppi.
