Doctoral programme on Inequalities, Interventions and New Welfare State (DPInvest)
Doctoral programme on Inequalities, Interventions and New Welfare State (DPInvest) is part of the University of Turku Graduate School (UTUGS). DPInvest includes doctoral candidates from two faculties (ie. social sciences and medicine) and three disciplines (ie. child psychiatry, psychology and sociology).
DPInvest is part of research flaship project INVEST, which aims at increasing wellbeing of Finnish society during childhood, youth and early adulthood and preventing psychosocial risks compromising such development through innovative interventions. INVEST will implement and test various universal and targeted interventions to improve the efficiency of the current welfare state institutions at critical points of the life course. INVEST will provide an outline for more efficient, just and affordable model of the Finnish welfare state for years to come.
