The course \u201cCreate \u2013 Protect \u2013 Innovate: Bringing ideas to market\u201d developed by the European Patent Office is aimed at Bachelor\u2019s (final year), Master’s and PhD students and will teach you how to protect inventions and bring them to market and provide you with valuable insights into the world of innovation. It consists of two parts (entry and advanced levels and separate IP Management course), each containing five self-paced modules. Students who completed the Entry Level course in a previous edition are encouraged to progress to the Advanced Level course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The University of Turku offers this programme university-wide for Bachelor’s (final year), Master’s and PhD students. IP Management is strongly recommended by the EPO for business, entrepreneurship, innovation management, and law students. Where university curricula specifically require IP Management content, students from other disciplines may also be enrolled on an exceptional basis. Credits must be negotiated separately with the faculty.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The courses aim to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Overall, the course offers you unique opportunities to follow inventors’ real-life stories, understand why and how they patent their inventions and learn how intellectual property rights (IPRs) can be integrated into business strategies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Course registration starts 21 September 2026 and ends 14 October 2026.
