25–26 August, 2022 The Research Workshop on Nordic Fertility,  in Grand Hotel Saltsjöbaden, Sweden. Organisers: FLUX project, NEFER project and SUDA, Stockholm University. The number of participants was 38.

Demographic seminar ”44. väestötieteen jatko- ja täydennyskoulutusseminaari” 29.–30.10.2020. Theme ”Disadvantage as a demographic question” (Huono-osaisuus väestökysymyksenä). Organised by the Finnish Demographic Society (Suomen Väestötieteen Yhdistys ry) in collaboration with INVEST Flagship (including NEFER, with Marika Jalovaara as the main organiser of the seminar). The event was held as a webinar with 145 registered participants.

Webinar ”What happened to Nordic fertility? 2.–3.2.2021. Organised by the NEFER project and INVEST Flagship in collaboration with the Finnish Demographic Society. The number of registered participants was 133.

Teaching

INVEST Demography at University of Turku. The course in Peppi study guide. The course provides an introduction to demography and population studies. It is intended for Master’s and PhD students. The course combines lecturing with written assignments, discussions, and presentations based on students’ special interest topics.
