AIM

To develop high quality health services by generating information on clinical outcomes and cost-effectiveness of information technology (IT) use in mental health care

CONTENT

  • e-training course for health care professionals in the field of mental health
  • internet site that contains evidence-based information about well-being and mental health
  • links to self-assessment, well-being and measurement instruments for patients about mental health
  • a tool to be used in everyday practice in mental health care

IMPLICATIONS

  • information and effectiveness about the impacts of IT on health care
  • evidence-based information about the acceptability, feasibility and cost-effectiveness of IT being used in mental health care
  • information on the clinical effects of IT on patient well-being and daily functioning
  • recognition of future needs and problems when IT services are fully accessible to all citizens
  • knowledge of the problems and benefits of controlled utilization of the health technology and how it should be implemented; from the staff and organization perspective
  • evidence of cost-effectiveness of IT in everyday clinical practice from the perspective of the health service
  • collaboration of service users, citizens, practitioners, professionals, universities, authorities, various branches of science, and industry
  • transmit of knowledge and experience
