Purpose
The purpose of this research project is to develop and evaluate a new student selection method in health care education that is evidence-based, cost-effective, objective and reliable.

Parts

1. Comparison of two on-site methods to select undergraduate nursing students (2006-2014)
   Aim: to compare the predictive value of two on-site methods to select undergraduate nursing students
2. Reforming student selection in nursing education (2015-2021)
   Aim: to develop, implement and evaluate a new selection method nationally.
3. Testing of the selection instrument in health care education In Finland and in Europe (2021–
   Aim: to modify and test a selection method in different fields of health care education nationally and internationally.
