Teacher Education Days in Rauma – 1 October 2025
Harvesting the Fruits of Teacher Education: Research as a Catalyst for Impact and Dialogue with Educational Practitioners
The theme of the Teacher Education Days in Rauma – Harvesting the Fruits of Teacher Education: Research as a Catalyst for Impact and Dialogue with Educational Practitioners – invites participants to engage in a shared discussion on the role of research in the development of learning and teaching. Together, we reflect on how to improve the “yield” of educational efforts and promote diverse forms of educational understanding within our society.
At present, the Finnish education system is undergoing a curriculum reform related to learning support. For some time already, a key principle in educational development has been the strengthening of inclusive participation. The Teacher Education Days will focus on how teachers encounter and respond to learner diversity, how effective support structures are created, and how each individual’s sense of participation and belonging can be fostered—both within the school community and in society at large.
The event also offers opportunities to enjoy collegial encounters and to network with peers. All those working in teacher education—as well as anyone with a broad interest in the future of education—are warmly welcome to attend. We invite you to present either completed or ongoing research, as well as practical approaches that have been successfully implemented or are still in the experimental stage.
Our aim is to create an environment that encourages participation, dialogue, and collaboration.
Welcome to Rauma!
