Welcome to the 6th Nordic PABS!
The Nordic Seminar on Technical Measurements of Physical Activity and Sedentary Behaviour is an arena for sharing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and exchanging ideas among the Nordic community engaged in research on technical measurements of physical activity and sedentary behaviour.
Previous seminars have been organised in Copenhagen, Gothenburg and Trondheim. This will be the 6th meeting and will be organized by University of Turku. The seminar has a multidisciplinary profile and encompass participants from several disciplines including e.g. sports sciences, physiology, public health, clinical science, epidemiology, computer science and engineering.
The seminar will take place in Turku, which is the oldest university town in Finland since the establishment of the Academy of Turku in 1640 and the former capital of Finland, a fascinating combination of both old and new. Today Turku is a gateway of tourism, culture, modern ideas and research between Finland and the rest of Europe.
The seminar is organised by Department of Public Health. This is an in-person event and we do not plan to record or stream the presentations.
The seminar is sponsored by Yrjö Jahnsson Foundation.
