SATAKUNTA METAVERSUM FOR BUSINESS (SaMBa)

Metaverse involves the integration of a virtual world with reality. It is a new emerging trend, which interests both nationally and internationally. It is particularly important that the theme metaverse and the opportunities it offers, are identified and anticipated both by the area’s companies and universities.

The goal of the Satakunta Metaverse for Business project is to create a shared understanding, in collaboration with universities, the Robocoast cluster, and the industry, of what the Metaverse means explicitly and what potential impacts it may have on current business operations in the future. Simultaneously, the project aims to identify potential use cases where industrial companies will likely leverage Metaverse. The most interesting use cases will be refined into product or service concepts.

The project is carried out as a new type of industry-university co-development pilot. The intention is that the co-development model could be utilized in the future for other similar emerging development themes.
