Research infrastructure

As a research group based in Geohouse, the SENCE research group uses the laboratory facilities available there. The research group has access to retrieve sediment cores from lacustrine and marine settings using different kinds of coring devices. In addition, SENCE monitors seasonal sedimentation patterns in the Finnish coastal region with sediment traps. Apart from sedimentation, the group also monitors the status of the water column in some lakes and the Finnish Archipelago Sea region.
