I am an adjunct professor of immunobiology at the University of Turku, where my team and I focus on generation antibody-mediated immunity at the Institute of Biomedicine, Faculty of Medicine. I have extensive experience in the transcriptional regulation of B cell function and development pathways, expertise in the molecular immunology of B cells, and proficiency in adaptive immunity.

My research interests include:

  • Adaptive immune responses to Borrelia
  • Regulation of germinal center reaction and plasma cell differentiation
  • Targeting mechanisms of somatic hypermutation to immunoglobulin genes
  • Cancerous off-targeting of somatic hypermutation
