Junsong He Project Researcher/Doctoral Researcher

Junsong He joins the Turku Design Studio as a Project Researcher/Doctoral Researcher. He received a joint master degree in Product-Service System Design from Tongji University, China, and Politecnico di Milano, Italy. He has worked at Accenture and at Whale after his master degree education.

Junsong is working toward a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Turku with supervision by Professor Yong Se Kim. He is working on the Smart EU Shipbuilding (SEUS) project.

Susanna Lehtojärvi Project Researcher/Doctoral Researcher

Susanna Lehtojärvi, MBA, joins the Turku Design Studio as a Project Researcher/Doctoral Researcher at the Dining Flow project.

She has a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Service Design. In addition she has Bachelor’s Degrees in International Business and well as in Health and Wellbeing from Turku University of Applied Sciences. Susanna aims to work towards a Doctor of Science in Technology at the University of Turku with supervision by Professor Yong Se Kim.

Susanna has 15 years of work experience from highly regulated functional food business (Benecol) with international business-to-business customers. She also has gained experience working as a business management consultant, specializing in growth strategies, marketing & brand development, service design, and providing consultancy services to small and medium-sized companies, before embarking on her academic career.

Ecem Akar Project Researcher/Doctoral Researcher

Ecem Akar is a Project Researcher/Doctoral Researcher in the Dining Flow Project. She will work for PhD degree under the supervision of Professor Yong Se Kim.

She holds a Master’s degree in Interior Architectural Design from Istanbul Technical University, Turkey. She has gained ten years of professional design practice experience and has also served as a lecturer. Her areas of expertise and personal interest encompass sustainable design, experience design, and computer-aided design.
