FinSoc is a financial social work intervention for families with complex financial difficulties. The intervention model was developed in the Financial social work in families with children project in spring 2022. The development of the intervention was based on previous research, and it also involved professionals from the field, social workers and counselors, as well as clients of social services. The main goals of the intervention are to improve the financial literacy of parents and to reduce potential financial distress.

FinSoc is a joint research project between the University of Turku, the University of Helsinki, and the University of Eastern Finland.
