The WHISOL Project at the EISA Conference in Bologna

The WHISOL project featured at the European International Studies Association (EISA) Pan-European Conference, held in Bologna on 25–29 August 2025. Postdoctoral Researcher Alice Baroni co-organized an interdisciplinary panel on “Solidarities across Power and Difference: Challenges and Possibilities.” The panel brought together case studies from North America, Australia, South Africa, Israel-Palestine, and Europe to discuss the impasses and potentials of building solidarity across colonial and racial power divides. Baroni also presented preliminary findings from the project’s first year, comparing white settlers’ solidarities with First Nation peoples and with the Palestinian struggle for decolonization.
