EC2U Young Researchers' Meeting in Turku

Artificial Intelligence & Languages, Cultures and Education

EC2U Young Researchers’ Meeting in Turku, April 1–3 2025

The University of Turku, Finland, in collaboration with its EC2U Partner Universities, organises a live event on April 1–3, 2025: Young Researchers’ Meeting in Turku, a three-day live event taking place from 1 to 3 April 2025.

This gathering provides doctoral researchers with a valuable opportunity to present their research, engage in scholarly discussions, and foster connections within the EC2U Virtual Institute of Quality Education (VIQE) framework.

The Young Researchers’ Meeting focuses on the following broad theme:

  • Artificial Intelligence & Languages, Cultures and Education

We welcome contributions from doctoral researchers whose dissertations have a topic in European Languages, Cultures, and/or Education. We welcome especially contributions that touch on (generative) artificial intelligence (AI) in some way. This includes the use of AI as a tool in various aspects and phases of research, such as data collection, analysis, and interpretation. We are equally interested in critical reflections on the role of AI in these disciplines.

Languages of the event are English, French and German.

The Meeting consists of a live event with:

  • keynotes by plenary speakers
  • presentations by doctoral researchers
  • feedback sessions
  • workshops for doctoral researchers
  • activities also outside of the classroom: city tour
