First results of the CIRI-5Y project published!
The first results of the CIRI-5Y project have been published in Neurobiology of Disease https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0969996123004011. This follow-up neuroimaging study showed that the rate of brain amyloid accumulation in late-life during 5 years was greater in individuals who had midlife insulin resistance and who carried at least one APOEε4 allele compared to those who had normal insulin sensitivity and who were APOEε4 non-carriers. We congratulate PhD researcher Elina Pietilä for the publication of the first article of her PhD thesis!
