New publication from ASIC-E4 project!
The first article of Mikko Koivumäki’s doctoral thesis has now been published in Alzheimer’s Research & Therapy. Mikko studied how APOE4 allele affected blood and imaging biomarkers and found that healthy older adults who carried two APOE4 alleles had higher levels of neurofilament light chain (NfL) in blood and also reduced hippocampal volume. Amyloid-beta deposition, cerebrovascular pathology, and medial temporal atrophy were associated with different blood biomarkers.
