Turku Alzheimer Imaging Laboratory at Turku PET Symposium
Our group greatly enjoyed the XVI Turku PET Symposium, which was held on 6 – 9 June 2025. The great efforts of the organising committee and the volunteers from Turku PET Centre always make this event a must for all PET enthusiasts because of the high-quality scientific sessions, the representation of industry partners and the many great opportunities for networking.
We had meaningful discussions about the latest advances in neuroimaging at the posters of our students Veikka Savila, Jenni Karppinen, Petra Parvianen, Riina Lehtonen, Janne Isojärvi and Claudia Tato and an outstanding oral presentation about the real challenges of coordinating clinical research studies by Mikko Koivumäki. What made this event so memorable was the organization and supervision skills of the senior researchers Marco Bucci and Juha Rinne, who were also attending the symposium. Fun fact: Docent Marco Bucci plays the piano at the Pets & Boys band, and their performance was a real highlight for the attendees!
