The AI Law Lab’s first event

AI Law Lab opens on Wednesday 23 September

The Lab’s first day has two halves. The morning is for talking, the afternoon for building. Come to either one, or to both.

Come and hear where artificial intelligence, AI law and the legal profession are heading, and join the discussion. We will also say what the AI Law Lab teaches.

Find out at the hackathon what a lawyer can actually do with artificial intelligence. Verisure brings the case. The faculty pays for the pizza.

Why the Lab exists

For justice in the age of artificial intelligence.

Artificial intelligence is changing how law comes about, how it is applied, and how it is experienced. A lawyer who does not understand the technology uses the technology badly. A lawyer who understands only the technology uses the law badly. The Lab joins the two together.

Our position helps. The Nordic legal tradition takes access to justice seriously. The European Union produced the first comprehensive package of AI regulation in the world. The Lab brings sisu.

What we do

The Lab’s four directions

Teaching

We teach law students how artificial intelligence changes legal work and how to use it responsibly.

Teaching starts in late autumn. More in September.

Continuing education

We help lawyers build AI skills across the profession.

Founder and Director

A lawyer working at the intersection of law and technology. He founded the Lab to bring his AI expertise into legal education and to gather the people already working on the subject.
