Join us to learn about and discuss objects and agency!

Are you interested in objects and material culture? The international and multidisiciplinary series of Artefacta conferences focuses on artefacts and our relationship with them. This year the theme of the conference is ‘agency’ in all of its breadth and complexity.

The conference theme will addressed in over 60 presentations. The two keynote speakers are Prof. Tine Damsholt (University of Copenhagen), and Prof. Bjørnar Olsen (UiT – The Arctic University of Norway).

The 3rd International Artefacta Conference will be held on 16–17 February 2023 in Turku, Finland. It will host presentations in Turku and online, and all presentations will be streamed via Zoom. The Zoom links will be sent to registered participants before the conference.

If you want to take part in the conference, you need to register. The registration fee is 85 euros. The registration and the online payment can be done at https://sites.utu.fi/artefacta2023/. The registration will close on 13 February 2023.

Welcome!
