Purpose of Processing Data
The purpose of processing personal data is to facilitate registration for the University symposium, provide event updates, and communicate important information related to the symposium before, during, and after the event.

Personal data is collected directly from participants through the online subscription form available on the website through these links: https://sites.utu.fi/aura/ and https://sites.utu.fi/aura/contacts/
5. Retention Period
Personal data will be stored for a period of 2 months after the conclusion of the AURA symposium, after which it will be securely deleted or anonymized, unless further retention is required by law or explicitly consented to by the participant.
6. Possible Receivers
The personal data may be accessed by the organizing committee of AURA symposium responsible for event management. Data will not be shared with third parties outside the university without explicit consent.
7. Possible Transfers of Data to Third Countries
Personal data will not be transferred to countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area unless such transfer is in accordance with applicable data protection laws and regulations.
8. Publicity or Confidentiality
The data collected is confidential and will only be used for purposes related to the organization and communication of the symposium. It will not be shared publicly.
9. Right to Access, Rectify, Erase, Restrict, and Object
Participants have the right to access their personal data, request correction of inaccurate data, request erasure of their data, restrict processing, and object to processing. To exercise these rights, please contact the designated contact person.
10. Right to state a Complaint with the Supervisory Authority
If participants believe their data is being processed unlawfully, they have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority.
