AIM-E Students’ Exhibition

On April 23, 2025, the University of Turku proudly hosted the open-house exhibition for students in Automation, Industrial, and Mechanical Engineering (AIM-E). This milestone event marked a significant step in promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and showcasing the breadth of innovation within these fields.

Designed to engage both the academic community and prospective students, the exhibition welcomed faculty, staff, university guests, and high school students from different schools of Southwest Finland. We were especially honoured by the attendance of Olli Manner, soon-to-be honorary doctor of the Faculty of Technology, whose presence underscored the importance of academic mentorship and industry engagement.

The event featured a wide range of student-led projects from Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs, highlighting cutting-edge research and innovation across automation, industrial, and mechanical engineering disciplines. Visitors had the opportunity to explore emerging technologies and engage directly with the students behind these ideas, gaining insight into both the creative and technical processes driving the future of engineering. Thanks to the invaluable support of our faculty and staff, both in the lead-up to the event and on the day itself, the exhibition was an outstanding success.

This open house was organised for the first time at the University of Turku, with Anam Tahir playing a central role in its planning and execution. The exhibition featured the following topics:
