Doctoral Researcher Position Open at Turku School of Economics

Join us in conducting timely and scientifically ambitious international-level research, while advancing your doctoral dissertation alongside project work. You will work as part of the Marketing Department’s Customer Experience Management research group (read more here). The duties of a doctoral researcher include conducting one’s own dissertation research and completing courses related to doctoral studies, as well as participating in the implementation of the research project in such a way that it supports the progress of the dissertation. In addition, the doctoral researcher may be involved in some minor administrative or teaching tasks.
The position will especially focus on research addressing the role of service design in facilitating various stakeholders’ engagement with circular practices. The research will be conducted in close collaboration with the CTF Service Research Center in Karlstad, Sweden, and we seek to create a possibility to conduct a double doctoral degree if agreed so.
The position will be for a fixed term of two years in the University or Turku. After that, a doctoral researcher aiming for a double degree can seek funding in relation to CTF Service Research Center in Karlstad, Sweden, which is one the leading service research centers in the world.

- Knowledge and experience of service design methods and research
- Interest in sustainability and circular economy
- Good research skills
- Written and spoken proficiency in English
- Good teamwork skills
- Interest in working both in Turku Finland and Karlstad, Sweden, over the course of the doctoral studies
