Advancing Digital Democratic Innovation (ADDI)

Advanced Digital Democratic Innovation (ADDI) is a Synergy research project funded by the European Research Council (ERC) between 2025 and 2031. The project conducts groundbreaking research on the relationship between deliberative discussion and voting, and explores how AI can support democratic debate and decision-making. It also develops new, scalable forms of participation and civil dialogue aimed at strengthening democracy.

The project involves the University of Toulouse, the University of Amsterdam, the Toulouse School of Economics and the University of Turku.
