DIGILEAC – Digitally-assisted Learning Environments with generative AI for all Contexts

DIGILEAC co-creatively supports sustainable, responsible and innovative development to enhance learning environments and processes in schools everywhere in the world – interactive digitally-supported learning materials, generative AI-supported learning as well as advantages of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) in the everyday school environment.

Transforming education with AI-driven digital interactivity makes learning incredibly efficient, and it will not strain existing budgets. The public sector, private companies, NGOs, teachers, and students are united in a collaborative, win-win effort. Together, they co-create, implement, and lead the charge for improved, cost-effective, and innovative education.

  • Digileac enhances pupils’ motivation and skills to learn so that they get better learning results that are verified with learning analytics
  • Digileac uses generative AI such as ChatGPT to adapt school learning material (text, illustrations, exercises) to meet diverse knowledge levels and demands of each individual pupil as well as the curriculum goals in every school subject – adapted even during each lesson
  • Digileac contains a carefully designed full learning environment – secure user identification system; learning material designed to all school grades; interactive education analytics system regarding the performance of individual pupils, classes and schools; protected data collection and storage system; teacher training and teaching facilitation system – all complying with ethical data mining and analysis regulations
  • Digileac school learning material is usable anywhere in the world for all school children – in tens of languages – and with only a fragment of current school learning material costs
  • Digileac can be accessed with smart phones, tablets, laptops and personal computers both on-line in the Internet and off-line without permanent Internet access

DIGILEAC supports to achieve globally and locally a major sustainable transformation through enhancing and decolonizing education processes and impacts by providing high quality learning environments, cost-efficient learning materials and solid learning results. Generative AI bridges individual’s natural neuro-cognitive system with machines’ artificial computational system supports so that curricula values and goals are efficiently achieved.

Funding

    • the Business Finland (the Finnish government organization for innovation funding and trade, travel and investment promotion)
    • the University of Turku – including FAPI (Finland-Africa Platform for Innovation SDG9) and SAA (South African Alliance)

  • Identification of generative AI-supported digital, technological and pedagogical solutions for education transformation

  • Preparing technological solutions for generative AI learning environments in schools and testing them in school education practice
