Arriving
The address of the conference venue is Assistentinkatu 7 (Publicum Building).
By Train
The trains arriving from Helsinki stop at Kupittaa railway station. (Notice that, due to constructions, the railway connection between the mainstation and Kupittaa station is nonoperational.)
Kupittaa station is 1,3 km from the conference venue. The best option for getting from the Kupittaa station to the venue is by foot. There are no suitable bus lines for this passage.
In case you wish to take a bus to the city center, you can take bus number 32 or 42 from a bus stop right in front of the station (across the street, in front of K-Market). Both lines take the same route, stopping at the market square and then continuing their way westward, via the main railway station.
The trains arriving from Tampere stop at the main railway station. The venue is at 2,2 km distance.
To get to the city center and the venue, you can take bus number 32 or 42 from a bus stop right in front of the station (on the side of the park). Both routes are identical in the center area, and stop at the market square. The bus stop nearest to the venue on these lines is called Akatemian talo, but you still need to walk 1,1 km to reach the conference site.
By Bus
Bus station is located 1,3 km from the venue.
NB! In case you wish to arrive as close as possible to the conference venue, some busses (at least some Onnibus services from Helsinki) stop at the Caribia Spa Hotel, which is located right next to the venue.
By Your Own Car
If you arrive by your own car, it is best to arrive from Helsinginkatu to Assistentinkatu. However, notice that due to a construction, the parking space for visitors is limited. It is inadvisable to park your vehicle to a lot reserved for university personnel, for the parking control can be rather active in the area.
Public Transport in Turku: Föli
You can recognize the Föli Turku city busses by their bright yellow color.
You can pay the bus ride with your own bank card or mobile phone (contactless payment). With one payment, your ticket is eligible for all Föli busses for the next two hours. You can use cash as well, but the price is higher (4 euros).

In case you prefer to use the Föli mobile app, you can download it from your app store.
You can check out the busses on map in real time via Bussit kartalla. Some other public transport mobile apps (e.g., Nysse) show Föli busses on map in real time as well.
Hotels
There are several hotels in Turku city center. Here are some options listed with a note about their location & distances, and an estimate of their relative prices.
Nearest to the conference venue (400m.) is the mid-priced Turun Caribia Spa Hotel.
At the Kupittaa Railway Station, you can find rather new, a bit more expensive Original Sokos Hotel Kupittaa. (1,4 km from the venue).
In the city center
Upper end accommodation is provided by Radisson Blu Marina Palace Hotel. It is on the river side (2,3 km from the venue, 900m from the main railway station, 2,5 km from Kupittaa railway station).
Scandic Atrium is very near the previous Marina Palace, and a mid-range price option. Recently renovated Scandic Julia is perhaps nicer than Atrium, but the price might reflect this.
Scandic Hamburger Börs is another upper end hotel, a landmark on the newly renovated city market square (1,7 km from the venue, 1,2 km from main railway station, 1 km from the bus station, 1,9 km from Kupittaa railway station).
Right next to Hamburger Börs is the mid-range option, Original Sokos Hotel Wiklund.
Another mid-range option you might want to consider is Centro Hotel near the marked square (1,4 km from the venue, 1,3 from the main railway station, 550m from the bus station, 1,8 km from Kupittaa railway station). Notice that some of the organizers would recommend the Centro Hotel.
Budget Friendly Options
Omena-hotelli Turku Humalistonkatu is also near the main railway station (2,2 km from the venue, 450m from the main railway station, 1,1 km from the bus station, 2,6 km from Kupittaa railway station).
Another Omena-hotelli is very near Hamburger Börs and the market square, and in Hansa-kortteli right next to the market square, there is also Forenom Aparthotel Turku.
Hese-hotelli is right at the bus station (1,3 km from the venue, 1 km from the main railway station, 2,2km from Kupittaa railway station).
