Kai Pata: Scaffolding in socio-technical systems
The concept of scaffolding has evolved from supportive dialogic acts between the facilitator and the learner towards socio-technologically mediated and algorithm controlled. In this talk I would like to discuss from the distributed cognition point of view the scaffolding processes in socio-technical systems. The lecture stems from my experiences in studying informal workplace learning networks, and from the explorations with the students from open society technologies curriculum on various socio-technical governing systems.
