Our research aims to understand the factors that regulate human metabolism in health and disease, with a particular focus on adipose tissue. We study metabolism across different levels of biological organization, from whole-body physiology to cellular and molecular mechanisms. By combining studies in humans with mechanistic investigations, we seek to identify the pathways that drive metabolic health and disease and provide a foundation for new therapeutic strategies.
