Thank you prof. Johannes Krause for visiting Turku!

We were delighted to host Prof. Johannes Krause from the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology as our guest at the Human Diversity consortium. He gave an excellent talk, “The genetic history of Europe, from the Stone Age to the Medieval Period,” as part of the Current Trends in Human Diversity seminar series on 25 May 2026. The talk provided a comprehensive overview of the genetic history of Europe and inspired a fruitful discussion. Thank you all for participating!

Prof. Johannes Krause is collaborating with Prof. Päivi Onkamo, Associate Prof. Elina Salmela, Docent Ulla Norfors, and their team in the Human Diversity consortium.
