Outi Vesakoski as a speker in the QC-LESTE workshop in Paris
Associate Professor Outi Vesakoski, a member of the Human Diversity consortium, gave a talk at the QC-LESTE workshop (Quantitative Cross-Linguistic Explorations of Space, Time, and Evolution) at the Musée de l’Homme in Paris on 11 June. The title of the talk was “Drivers of Language Distribution Ranges.” The workshop gathered together experts from different fields to explore the intersection of computational phylogenetics, language evolution, and the spatial dynamics of language contact and diffusion.
