Thanks for all the speakers and participants in the Digital Linguistics: Targeting Human Diversity through Contacts seminar on 21 May!

As a visiting guest, we were delighted to host Nathan Dykes, who gave a talk titled “Corpus Approaches to Operationalising Elusive Discourse Phenomena.” Nathan will join the Human Diversity consortium and the TurkuNLP group as a postdoctoral researcher this fall. Welcome to Turku!

From the TurkuNLP Veronika Laippala, Saara Hellström, Erik Henriksson and Tomasz Galica presented the projects in TurkuNLP on multilingual registers, and the plans to continue and elaborate them in the Centre of Excellence for Human Diversity Trough Contacts.
