Two MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships Awarded to the Human Diversity

The Human Diversity Consortium is delighted to announce that two researchers have been awarded Marie Skłodowska‑Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships for projects associated with our research community.

Dr Nikolaos Smit has been awarded an MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship for a project “”Kinship dynamics and the evolution of mammalian reproductive strategies” that will be carried out in the Lummaa Lab, under the supervision of Professor Virpi Lummaa.

Dr Takuya Takahashi has been awarded an MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowshipfor his project “Phylogenetic and geographic analysis of Uralic languages”, associated with the BEDLAN research group under the supervision of Associate Professor Outi Vesakoski.

MSCA fellowships are among the most competitive and prestigious funding instruments for early‑career researchers in Europe, and being awarded one represents an important recognition of scientific excellence and career potential. The MSCA programme, funded by the European Union, supports outstanding researchers across disciplines and promotes mobility, innovation, and high‑quality scientific training. The Human Diversity consortium and the University of Turku warmly congratulate Dr Smit and Dr Takahashi for this significant recognition.
