Registration
The conference will only be held in-person. All participants are required to make the registration.
Regular participation fee: 190 € (with dinner), 110€ (without dinner)
Reduced participation fee: 150 € (with dinner), 70€ (without dinner)
- The reduced participation fee is only available for students and doctoral candidates. Please send proof of your status to the organisers: cdes2026@utu.fi
- The participation fee includes coffee breaks, lunches, welcome reception, dinner and conference materials as well as participation in the fieldtrip
The participation fee can only be paid by credit card. Payment details will be provided on the registration form. If you are unable to pay by credit card, contact the organisers.
Refund policy:
- between April 20-30, 2026, the refund is 50 % of the registration fee
- after April 30, 2026, there is no refund.
Travel grants
Young scholars under 35 can apply for a travel grant (max USD 500) to participate in the conference. The applicants must provide a document confirming their age and an invoice to prove the travel expenses. An essential condition is the acceptance of the abstract and its presentation. Preference will be given to applicants from developing countries. Reimbursement will be made on-site.
For travel grant application, write a letter (an official request addressing Eva Kiss/CDES) and send it to cdes2026@utu.fi as an attachment with your ID copy and invoice about the travel cost. (Invoice can be sent later until May 10th, 2026.)
