Energy-themed citizens’ assembly
The Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment wanted to explore citizens’ views on issues related to household energy use. To this end, an energy-themed citizens’ assembly was organized. The assembly was implemented by researchers from the University of Turku and the Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) as part of the FLAIRE research consortium.
The Citizens’ Assembly was held in January-February 2025 and participants were selected through a random sample of all adult citizens across Finland.
The energy-themed citizens’ assembly is carried out by researchers from the University of Turku and the Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) as part of the FLAIRE project. The assembly is organized in cooperation with Sitra, the Ministry of the Environment, and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment. The assembly and related research are supported by the Strategic Research Council operating under the Academy of Finland.
