Kidisafe: Animation of a Day at the Fire Station

Early childhood educator Marjaana Korpi from Rauman pikkunorssi and the Kidisafe team are producing and animation of a Day at the Fire Station. In this animation young children will learn about injury prevention and every day work tasks at the fire station. The animation belongs to Kidisafe programme that is partially funded by the Finnish Fire Protection Fund.

The main characters in the animation are fire fighters Mikko, Sauli, Sanna and Jarno.  Some of these characters exist also in reality and they have shared their experiences.

As the animation is launched, it is freely accessible in all the kindergartens and fire departments. Additionally, Marjaana Korpi and the Kidisafe team will produce material and activities  for smart boards as well as fire safety awareness workbook for little children.

Early Childhood and Teacher Education Centre (ECTEC) Rauman pikkunorssi is an Early Childhood Education and Care centre in Rauma. The organization is connected with the Department of Teacher Education in the University of Turku, Finland.
