UNICOM+ Mentoring by BoostHer

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Students and researchers at the University of Turku, Åbo Akademi, or Turku UAS.
– Working on a business idea.
– Looking for practical guidance, inspiration, or a sparring partner to take steps towards becoming an entrepreneur.

WHAT IS IT?

A 6 weeks mentoring program that includes:
– Opening Ceremony: Get to know your mentor and fellow mentees.
– Workshop with Guest Speaker: Goals & Purpose.
– Workshop with Guest Speaker: Communication.
– Optional session with BoostHer team available to assist you.
– Meet your mentor: Scheduling 2 meetings with your mentor.
– Closing Ceremony: Reflection about your mentoring journey.

In the closing ceremony, you will have the opportunity to network with other mentors and your fellow mentees. You will also receive:
– A certificate of participation.
– Feedback from the mentor.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

-Submit an application by filling out the I want to be a Mentee Form.
-We match you with a suitable mentor based on your application form.

If you are selected for BoostHer Mentoring Program, you will receive an email with further information about the dates and your mentor.
Note: for the selection onboarding, you must report your participation in EURA2021 system (UNICOM+).

Yes. Even if you are unsure, intimidated, or just curious. This program helps you explore, gain clarity, and take meaningful steps (whatever your starting point is).

 

Is there a cost to participate?

No. The BoostHer Mentoring Program is free of charge.

 

What is the time commitment?

Expect about 2-3 hours per week depending on your engagement.

Who are the mentors?

Currently, BoostHer Mentoring Program team is scouting mentors from different industries and diverse backgrounds.

 

How are mentors selected?

The BoostHer team reviews your application and pairs you with the mentor whose experience, style, and background best matches your needs and goals.

 

What if the mentor match doesn’t feel right?

We encourage an open conversation first, but if the fit isn’t ideal, you can contact the BoostHer Mentoring Program team. We will do our best to support or adjust the match depending on availability.
