Bittium Veturi Program: Seamless and Secure Connectivity Ecosystem
The Seamless and Secure Connectivity program aims at enabling trusted, secure, and resilient end-to-end connectivity architectures and products, including life-cycle services in various domains.
The program was established in 2023 when Business Finland granted it EUR 10 million development funding and additional EUR 20 million funding for ecosystem companies and research partners. The four-year program led by the Bittium will run until 2026.
Achieving its goal requires active co-operation with various public and private contributors, including e.g. network, application, terminal and other device providers combined with various software and technology solution providers.
The mission of Bittium’s Seamless and Secure Connectivity program is to enable seamless and cyber secure connectivity and communications by 2030s in end-to-end vertical domains by creating trusted, secure and resilient end-to-end connectivity architectures and products until lifecycle services.
The program is focused on six themes, which together drive development towards the program’s goals:
The LifeFactFuture (LFF) project is linked to Bittium’s Seamless and Secure Connectivity Business Finland Veturi project and its theme of significant development models improvement that promote the agile development of medical software (RegOps).
The development and screening of optimal tools for applying of AI and digitalization are applied in quality assurance (QA) and pharmaceutical process development. The Research topics of the implementation of approaches combine agile and lean development, as well as DevOps in combination with QA and regulatory preconditions (RegOps). In addition, advanced data analytics and AI used to find new operational models also increases efficiency and effectiveness in medical/pharma industry manufacturing operations. This is why Bittium has set solving the RegOps development challenge as its ultimate goal, and in addition, RegOps and related manufacturing challenges are also addressed as the subject of this LFF project.
“In the best case, new operating models and processes have a significant impact on the lead time to market launch of new medical-grade products,” says Bittium’s Hannele Toroi, Director, QARA.
